Judge Roy Moore recommended for U.S. Supreme Court

Judge Roy Moore recommended for U.S. Supreme Court

The Conservative Caucus has called on President Bush to fulfill his promises to appoint federal judges who will obey the U.S. Constitution, and not legislate from the bench.  Judge Roy Moore is one of the best examples of someone who truly follows constitutional and moral law.

Statement of Howard Phillips, Chairman, The Conservative Caucus: My friends, this is a crucial moment in the history of the American republic. The character and the undaunted courage of one faithful man seated on the U.S. Supreme Court could bring about a turning point in our jurisprudence and in our culture, back to Biblical morality and forward to a restoration of the Constitutional design and system of liberty set forth by American's founding fathers.

Judge Roy Moore may run for Governor

I speak of that great patriot, that exemplary jurist, God's man for these times, the Honorable Roy Moore.

Roy Moore sacrificed his position as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court rather than submit to an unconstitutional demand by Federal judges to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the rotunda of the Alabama Judicial Building.

Judge Roy Moore has become the No. 1 news maker in the evangelical Christian community.

This article provides an analysis of his positive impact to restore conservative values in America. Critics say Roy Moore represents a resurgent Christian right that helped Republicans in last year's elections and now wants its agenda adopted, including a gay marriage ban and new freedoms for prayer in school, political endorsements from the pulpit and the display of religious symbols on public property.  He is a hot property on the evangelical circuit and a potential candidate for governor of Alabama, where polls have him leading the Republican incumbent.

In July, a group of conservatives touted Judge Moore for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. William Stewart, professor emeritus of political science at the University of Alabama, said Moore could beat Gov. Bob Riley in next year's Republican primary and would be a formidable candidate in the general election. Read the rest of the story at
