The Commandments From Moses
Exodus Chapter 20
1 Then God delivered all these commandments:
"I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.
You shall not have other gods besides me.
You shall not carve idols for yourselves in the shape of anything in the sky above or on the earth below or in the waters beneath the earth;
2 you shall not bow down before them or worship them. For I, the LORD, your God, am a jealous God, inflicting punishment for their fathers' wickedness on the children of those who hate me, down to the third and fourth generation;
but bestowing mercy down to the thousandth generation, on the children of those who love me and keep my commandments.
"You shall not take the name of the LORD, your God, in vain. For the LORD will not leave unpunished him who takes his name in vain.
"Remember to keep holy the sabbath day.
Six days you may labor and do all your work,
but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD, your God. No work may be done then either by you, or your son or daughter, or your male or female slave, or your beast, or by the alien who lives with you.
In six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the LORD has blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.
"Honor your father and your mother, that you may have a long life in the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you.
"You shall not kill.
"You shall not commit adultery.
"You shall not steal.
"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male or female slave, nor his ox or ass, nor anything else that belongs to him."

Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
What is your frame of reference?
1 When I called upon [him], the God of my righteousness heard me: thou hast made room for me in tribulation; pity me, and hearken to my prayer. 2 O ye sons of men, how long [will ye be] slow of heart? wherefore do ye love vanity, and seek falsehood? Pause. 3 But know ye that the Lord has done wondrous things for his holy one: the Lord will hear me when I cry to him. 4 Be ye angry, and sin not; feel compunction upon your beds for what ye say in your hearts. Pause. 5 Offer the sacrifice of righteousness, and trust in the Lord. 6 Many say, Who will shew us good things? the light of thy countenance, O Lord, has been manifested towards us. 7 Thou hast put gladness into my heart: they have been satisfied with the fruit of their corn and wine and oil. 8 I will both lie down in peace and sleep: for thou, Lord, only hast caused me to dwell securely.

Roman Catholic Ten Commandments bring you this week in Christian history:
December 27, 1932Radio City Music Hall was the brainchild of the billionaire John D. Rockefeller, Jr., who decided to make the theater the cornerstone of the Rockefeller Complex he was building in a formerly derelict neighborhood in midtown Manhattan. The theater was built in partnership with the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) and designed by Donald Deskey. The result was an Art Deco masterpiece of elegance and grace constructed out of a diverse variety of materials, including aluminum, gold foil, marble, permatex, glass, and cork. Geometric ornamentation is found throughout the theater, as is Deskey's central theme of the "Progress of Man". The famous Great Stage, measuring 60 feet wide and 100 feet long, resembles a setting sun. Its sophisticated system of hydraulic-powered elevators allowed spectacular effects in staging, and many of its original mechanisms are still in use today.
Radio City Music Hall opens
At the height of the Great Depression, thousands turn out for the opening of Radio City Music Hall, a magnificent Art Deco theater in New York City. Radio City Music Hall was designed as a palace for the people, a place of beauty where ordinary people could see high-quality entertainment. Since its 1932 opening, more than 300 million people have gone to Radio City to enjoy movies, stage shows, concerts, and special events.
